Senior UX Designer

As a solid and established leader in the industry, we are now looking for a passionate and innovative candidate with a strong track record in user experience design to join our Product Design Team. The candidate must have experience within software environments and be must have contributed heavily to a number of SaaS products. The ideal candidate must have adopted contemporary UX practices and will seamlessly contribute to an ambitious team.

You’ll partner with Product Managers and UI Designers to define and deliver new features, translate concepts into living, breathing prototypes, and rapidly iterate on interactions, animations, and details to deliver the perfect experience. You will be responsible for delivering best-in-class customer experiences across all supported platforms.

KEY ACTIVITIES

• Be part of an interdisciplinary team working collaboratively alongside developers and product owners
• Lead User Experience (UX) projects from beginning to end throughout the interactive design lifecycle
• Analyse user interface problems and create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements
• Create user-centred designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, technical constraints/opportunities and usability findings
• Define requirements based on project needs and create high quality information architecture documents (sitemaps, user flows, storyboards etc.)
• Undertake user research and user testing to collect relevant insights and then translate those insights and business objectives into well-designed experiences
• Develop high level wireframes, user flows, concept mock-ups & prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role, with experience performing at an experienced level
• Have a portfolio of work demonstrating visual and decision-making skills, with clear evidence of a user-centric approach
• Produce detailed UX deliverables including user journeys, interaction-flow diagrams, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, visual design mockups and UI spec documentation to effectively conceptualise and communicate detailed interaction behaviours
• Collaborate and iterate with developers in fast-paced design-build cycles
• Be able to fulfil several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and working in an agile/lean development environment
• Be able to articulate and rationalise design decisions to peers and various stakeholdersExpert level proficiency with industry-standard UX/UI design tools (e.g. Adobe illustrator CC, Sketch)
• Strong familiarity with design patterns and front end frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Foundation)

NICE TO HAVES

• Great sense of design and aesthetics; an exceptional eye for detail and a deep understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and colour effectively
• Proficiency in CSS and HTML5
• Enthusiastic about technology, a passion for innovation and new ideas
