Apprenticeships in pharmacy provide a structured training programme for young people 16 – 24.
Apprentice will get opportunity to work alongside the health experienced staff to assist at front desk reception and in the pharmacy to, ensure the pharmacy is running smoothly and consistently. Help the pharmacy team with dispensing and dealing with general enquiries, gain job-specific skills and earn a wage. As an apprentice you will undertake the following duties:
- Prescription receipts
- Selling over the counter medicines
- Dispensing and issuing the medicine to the patients
- Order, receive, store and issue the pharmaceutical stock.
- Responding to customers queries
- Supply of stock medicines and processing orders
- Purchasing, return and disposal of medicines and stock takes
Qualifications Required
3 A Levels A – C GRADE (MATHS, ENGLISH + 1 OTHER)
OR
4 GCSE A-C (MATHS, ENGLISH, SCIENCE + 1 OTHER)
OR
Depending on recruitment manager. Please note: Graduates are not eligible to apply for a Advanced Apprenticeships
Skills Required
- Strong communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- General Interest in medicine
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment
Key Details
Expected training duration – 18 months
Working Week – Mon to Fri, possibility of Saturday (one day a week released for college, after 2 months reduced to 2 days per month thereon)
Weekly Wage – £120.00
